Brooklyn couple Tracy Peel and Isaac Wynn scored the perfect wedding venue here in Tucson. Merci Gallery, a recently restored 1940s multi-media lounge focused on art, music and champagne. The space is located in Iron Horse, and offers indoor and outdoor spaces. As well as a resident florist, DJ and event specialist. Merci Gallery’s very first wedding celebration was truly magical. Maybe it’s the custom floor to ceiling living wall. Perhaps it’s the casual, yet elegant atmosphere. It could be the comfortable couches and mod decor. The intimate ceremony of 75 guests took place in the beautiful outdoor garden space on a warm October evening. After the ceremony, guests were lured into the lounge for a cocktail hour of French 75s, margaritas, with delicious ceviche and guacamole from Little Poca Cosa.
After wonderful toasts and musical tributes (the groom hired a string quartet to celebrate his new bride), guests dined under the Sonoran stars. A Mexican dinner buffet and beer/wine bar was set up for guests to enjoy. Little Poca Cosa again presented fresh fruits and salads, along with melt-in-your-mouth tortillas, shredded chicken, nutty elote and rice and beans to satisfy the crowd. Along with a variety of chipotle cremas, flavorful moles and spicy salsas. La Baguette bakery provided the abundant desserts: almond and pear tarts, dark chocolate coffee cream tortes, and dozens of small specialty French cookies. On their way out, guests were savoring their Chocolate Iguana party favors – mini rose gold dark chocolate hearts to celebrate the couple’s beautiful and local love story. Merci, Merci.
