With 129 hours, $900 and her sewing know how, Maria Rose designed and created her very own wedding dress. This newlywed works magic with needle and thread! Fortunately for us she documented every step along the way. You can see how she did it on her new blog! MariaRoseSews.com.
Maria Rose started college in Tucson at the University of Arizona as an architecture major, but was fortunate enough to have a job in a costume shop for the Stevie Eller School of Dance. After her first year she switched her major to theatrical costume design and she’s never looked back.
Her wedding at the Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum, was made complete with her dream wedding dress! Photos taken by wedding photographer, Trevor Crosby, can be seen on her new website created by Locals Only. See more photos in the Maria Rose Sews Photo Gallery!
With the big wedding dress project out of the way, she started to grow her freelance business. She works with many clients and brides as well as sewing projects for her blog! Projects that range from the most comfy French Fry Undies to an easy guide for a DIY Couch Reupholstering. Maria Rose knows her stuff!
Her passion for sewing is obvious to see in her personal life! Maria Rose goes all out on costumes whether it’s for Halloween or cosplay! See more photos in her Personal Costume Album.
